Editing and Language Assistance
At this time, RSELTL does not provide in-house editing, translation, or language polishing services. Authors are encouraged to seek external professional assistance to ensure that the manuscript meets the required language standards prior to submission.
Manuscript Submission Requirements
All manuscripts must be submitted in .docx format and must follow APA 7th edition for citations and references. Manuscripts should be written in British English to ensure consistency. Please note that any submissions not adhering to these formatting standards may be returned for revision prior to review.

RSELTL is an international, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research in English language teaching and learning. Please note that RSELTL is an online-only journal and does not offer a print version.
Open Access Policy
Authors have the option to publish their work as open access. This ensures immediate and free access to your article upon publication, increasing its visibility and potential readership. Open access publication may be mandatory depending on your institution or funder’s requirements. A £320 article processing charge (APC) applies for open access publications. Some institutions or funding bodies may cover this fee.
Peer Review and Ethics
All manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process. Both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to ensure fairness. RSELTL upholds the highest ethical standards. Please be aware that complete anonymity may not be guaranteed if a preprint of your manuscript has already been made publicly available. To maintain the integrity of our publications, we use plagiarism detection services like Turnitin to screen submissions for originality.

An article processing charge of £320 applies to all submissions accepted for publication. This fee supports open access publishing and ensures free accessibility to readers.

RSELTL uses the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) licence, which grants all copyright to the authors while allowing others to share and adapt the work as long as proper attribution is given. Authors maintain full rights to their work.
Compliance with Funding Agencies
If your research is funded by agencies such as the National Institutes of Health, please inform us during the submission process. We will ensure compliance with funder open access mandates.
AI Content
Authors are required to disclose any use of AI tools in the creation of their manuscript. AI-generated content—where the text or translations are produced by AI tools—will result in immediate rejection of the submission. AI-assisted content, where the authors have created the manuscript but used AI tools to edit, refine, or improve it, must be fully disclosed during the submission process. Authors must specify the level of AI involvement, and the editorial team will assess whether the use of AI tools is acceptable for publication.
