Information For Authors

Research Studies in English Language Teaching and Learning (RSELTL) welcomes submissions of original research articles, review articles, short communications, and letters to the editor that fall within the scope of the journal. To ensure that your submission is considered for publication, please follow these guidelines:

AI Content: Authors are required to declare whether their work is either "AI-generated" or "AI-assisted." "AI-generated" content is defined as "text or translations created by an AI-based tool," even if substantial edits are made afterward.

"AI-assisted" content is classified as that created by the authors themselves; however, AI tools are used to "edit, refine, error-check, or otherwise improve" the content. This must be done as one of the steps before making any submissions to the journal.

Manuscript Preparation: Manuscripts should be written in clear, concise English and must be original, not previously published, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

Length: Research articles should not exceed 8,000 words, including abstract, references, tables, and figures. Review articles and short communications should not exceed 5,000 words. Letters to the editor should not exceed 2,000 words.

Format: Manuscripts should be submitted in Microsoft Word format, using 12-point font, double-spaced, with 1-inch margins on all sides.

Title Page: The first page of the manuscript should include the title of the paper, the names and affiliations of all authors, and the corresponding author's contact information, including email address.

Abstract: The second page should include an abstract of no more than 250 words, summarizing the main results and conclusions of the study.

Keywords: The third page should include up to five keywords that describe the content of the paper.

References: References should be formatted according to the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th edition style and listed at the end of the manuscript. In-text citations should be included in the body of the paper.

Tables and Figures: Tables and figures should be placed within the text and numbered sequentially. Captions should be brief and descriptive.

Ethics: If the study involves human subjects, the authors must include a statement in the Methods section indicating that the study was approved by an institutional review board and that informed consent was obtained from all participants.

Submission: Manuscripts should be submitted through the journal's online submission system.

Research Studies in English Language Teaching and Learning (RSELTL) reserves the right to reject manuscripts that do not meet these submission guidelines. If your manuscript is accepted for publication, you will be asked to provide a final version of the manuscript that adheres to these guidelines. We look forward to receiving your submission and sharing your work with the wider community of researchers and practitioners in the field of teaching and learning.
